NEW RELEASE!
On November 18, 1996, I experienced a dream come true…On this day, I was blessed with the wonderful fortune of watching Mother Teresa while she prayed in the Mother House chapel in Calcutta, India. When I first laid eyes on her, Mother Teresa’s gaze was firmly and lovingly fixed on something across the room. As I followed her stare, I saw that the object of her affection was a crucifix of Jesus. Next to the crucifix were two words: “I Thirst.” As I read those words, I realized that I had traveled to Calcutta because I was thirsting for faith. Without saying a word, Mother Teresa led me to Jesus and a deeper faith than I had ever known…
Robin had no idea of what awaited her the day she made the trip to Calcutta, India, to visit the beloved Mother Teresa. But as the heartbreaking shock of India’s devastating poverty and human suffering overwhelmed her from the minute she landed in Calcutta, somehow Robin knew that things would never be the same.
Within hours of her life-changing experience in the Mother House chapel, a call home shook Robin’s newfound faith in Christ: her husband Kevin had been transported to the hospital for attempted suicide. As she struggled to deal with the emotional guilt and devastation that followed, the long-awaited trip to India would prove to be the backdrop to a spiritual crisis that took Robin through the darkness of doubt, fear, and ultimately, the peace of unconditional faith.
From the tattered streets of India, Robin tells the compelling story of one life’s journey to discover the God who touched her life through an extraordinary experience of delight, despair, and hope.
